Similar to these different practices,
testimonio does not have a predictable or
set structure as it can take the form of a
poem, speech, interview, letter, and so on.
Each of these, however, involves a public
accounting of human experiences that
have the ability to build solidarity.

Testimonio can be defined as a


book length story narrated by a
person coming from the margins
of society, for example a poor
woman, a peasant, an outlaw or a
guerrilla.

1. Determine what story you want to tell
2. Ask specific questions
3. Keep it short and conversational
4. Use the customer's name and include pictures, if
possible
