· For Rupee Term D e po si ts of a cont racte d amount less than Rs. 5 crores opene d/re newe d on or after May 1, 2014 (incl udi ng Flexi
deposits) , intere st rate shall be 1.00% below the card rate, pre va il i ng as on the date of deposi t, as applica ble for the perio d the deposit
has
re mai ne d with the bank or 1.00% below the cont racte d rate, whiche ver is lower ("Premature Closure Penalty Rate"). How ev e r , for Rup ee
Term De po si t s cl osed within 14 days from the date of b ooki ng of the deposit i nt eres t rate shall be rate ap pli cable for the peri od the
deposit has remained with the bank or the contracted rate, whichever is lower.
· For Rup ee Term D ep os i ts of a c ontrac ted amount less than Rs. 5 crores op ened /renew ed on or after D ec e mb er 15, 2 017 (incl udi ng
Flexi de posits), for the fi rst parti al withdrawal with value <= 25% of Term De posit original pr i nc ipa l value, Premature Closure Penalty Rate will
not be appli cable. For subse quent part ial wit hdrawal s, Premature Closure Penalty Rate will apply on the enti r e withd raw al amount. For the
pa rtial withdrawal with value > 25% of Term De posit origi nal p ri nc i pa l value, Premature Closure Penalty Rate will be ap p licab le for the
entir e w it hd rawal amount. How e v er , for Rupee Term Dep o si t s closed w ithin 14 days from the date of b ooking of the d ep osi t, i nt eres t rate
shall be rate applicable for the period the deposit has remained with the bank or the contracted rate, whichever is lower.
· For Rupee Term D e po si ts of a con tract ed amount of Rs 5 C rore s and above, inte rest rate shall be 1% below the card rate p re vai li ng as
on the date of de posit, as ap plica ble for the period the deposit has remain ed with the bank or 1% below the contract ed rate, whichever is
lower. This would also be appli cable on Rupee Term De posi ts closed within 14 days from the date of boo ki ng of the de posit .
