maintenance team for assistance.

A) Vertical White Lines

There are vertical white lines shown on carton straight down along the length
of the label. Sometimes, very thin white lines run across the barcodes, and
this will increase the barcode vertical lines. Scanning (of some labels) might
be possible at Factory, however it will fail at DC.

Solution:
Clean the print head first. If the issue persists, change a new print head
immediately or contact the printer support and maintenance hotline/ email for
assistance.

B) Roller Damage
There are uneven white lines shown on package label. Similarly, this might
increase the barcode vertical lines. Scanning (of some labels) might be
possible at Factory, however it will fail at DC.
Solution:
Clean the print roller first as in most cases, issues are with the roller. If the
issue persists, change a new print roller immediately or contact the printer
support and maintenance hotline/ email for assistance.

C) Ribbon Wrinkle
There are uneven askew white lines / wrinkles shown on package label.
Scanning (of some labels) might be possible at Factory, however it will fail at
DC.

Solution:
Re-install ribbon clean the roller and print head. Adjust the pressure of print
head and/or ribbon tension. Alternatively, you can contact the printer support
and maintenance hotline/ email for assistance.

D) Barcode Overlap
The barcode overlaps on 2 labels, DC is unable to scan either label.

Solution:
Clean and adjust the sensor and run the factory default setting. Alternatively,
you can contact the printer support and maintenance hotline/ email for
assistance.

E) Unclear Label
The data and/or barcode are not printed out clearly.

Solution:
There are multiple reasons which might make the printed labels unclear.
1. Check whether you use the correct ribbon (Ink) as some type of
ribbons are developed to be printed with only some printer models such as
B110a ribbon for AP5.4 printer, AR37 ribbon for 64-0X printer…etc.
2. Check “Print Contrast” by pressing “Prog” button on the printer
display. The default value is ~ 65%.
3. Try to clean the print head and roller as the unclarity might be caused
by dust. Alternatively, you can contact the printer support and maintenance
hotline/ email for assistance.

F) Too Big/Small Fonts

The font printed on label is either too big/small. Label format is incorrect which
will not be accepted by the Buyer.

Solution:
Re-install printer driver (300dpi) and set up Avery printer as default printer
from Desktop Utility. The recommended driver is AP5.4 (300dpi) which works
well with all Avery printer models including 64-0x series. Alternatively, you
can contact the printer support and maintenance hotline/ email for assistance.

Tips to maintain your printer quality

To ensure a stable label printing quality, it is strongly recommended to periodically check your hardware components,
such as
• Refill ribbon and label timely
• Check/clean print head regularly
• Replace print head whenever needed
• Print status report and dot test report to evaluate the printing quality.
