Once it is pressed INSTALL, the SICOM will be installed automatically. Following this advice, the update of the sof tware does not require any user´s action,
this is, if the SICOM is run being the laptop connected to Internet, The SICOM updates itself when it is started. Besides, the necessary drivers depending on
the operative system can be downloaded f rom this page.
Offline mode is also available to prepare the settings and configuration files without having the relay connected to the lapt op, reducing engineering and
commissioning time.
3. Set the associated “COM” in the SICOM option called “Select a port”. If only one port is connected to the laptop, the SICOM will recognize it automatically:
2. Check the IP address set in the relay f or this Modbus TCP protocol and set it in the relay (this IP can be set by the user) and keep the TCP port to 502.
Go to “Control panel→ Network and Sharing Center → Change adapter settings” (on the lef t menu)
Right click on the Ethernet port you are using (the one that is connected to the relay) and click on properties (last option):
NOTE: It is possible to change the IP address of the relay directly to the same segmented network of the laptop (avoiding the steps described in this
point 3), if it is known.
Go to “Control panel→ Network and Sharing Center → Change adapter settings” (on the lef t menu)
Right click on the WIFI port you are using (the one that is connected to the relay) and click on properties (last option):
The password will be dif f erent depending on the relay. By def ault it is:
Once the session is correctly started, the f ollowing screen will be open:
NOTE: Depending on the relay some of this menu can be not available
To close the settings of a protection f unction, make double click on the protection f unction on the lef t of the screen.
If the action is correct, a message conf irming it will appear on the screen:
If the settings menu is already opened, af ter the changes in HMI, it is necessary to press “Ref resh Settings” to visualize th e changes in the SICom:
It will be possible to select a name f or the f ile and the wanted location. A message conf irming the action will be shown.
If there are several settings f ile f or dif f erent relays, please take care of selecting the correct one. If an incompatible f ile is selected SICom will not open the
document.

NOTE: If the time and operation are changed, it is necessary to switch the relay of f and to switch it on again to charge it in the relay. If these mentioned
parameters are not changed, this action is not necessary to have the conf iguration charged in the relay.
The name of the f ile and the wanted location can be selected
• Description of the f unction: The specif ic state of the criterion that has originated the event.
• Event state: If the event has been originated because of an activation or deactivation of the state.
• Associated measure: The measure in the moment of the register. If this measure is registered with the corresponding unit, it will be shown as well.
The number of f ault reports will depend on the relay. If a f ault report has not been registered, a ‘-‘ will appear in its place.
Once the f ault report is erased, the corresponding oscillographic record is also erased .
In this window it is possible to select a name f or the f ile and the wanted location.
• Maximum current.
• Phase A Current.
• Phase B Current.
• Phase C Current.
• Neutral Current.
If “ok” option is pressed the Demand will be erased in the relay and a message conf irming it will appear on the screen:
In summary, the password has to be made up of 4 characters (numbers, letters or symbols). Less or more than 4 characters will not be accepted.
NOTE: Be caref ul when the Firmware version is selected, because depending on the version dif f erent settings are available.
NOTE: It is very important to select the model correctly. Although in Of f line mode all the combinations are accepted, to send the f ile to the relay in Online
mode the correct model is mandatory.
NOTE: If the selected model is not correct, the option SAVE AS will not be available.
17.2.1. Old settings file (previously saved before SICOM version 1.0.0.46)
If settings f ile was saved bef ore 1.0.0.46 SICOM version:
1. Open SICOM sof tware, Press FILE / OPEN or double click directly on the saved settings f ile (both options are valid).

18.2.1. Old configuration file (previously saved before SICOM version 1.0.0.46)
The f irst important thing is to know that old conf iguration f iles cannot be open with SICOM Of f line mode. To open a conf iguration f ile, it is necessary to create
one with this last SICOM version (1.0.0.46).
1. Open SICOM sof tware and press FILE / OPEN or double click directly on the saved settings f ile (both options are valid):
