Climate change is an enviroumental
‘problem not only the Philippines but also the Bl t
‘world is facing nowadays as the changes in weather conditions
‘badly affect the lives of everyone both in rural and urban areas
Based on the recent reports over television, climate change
affects the global Earth temperature which has an average in-
creased by at least 1.1 Degrees Celsius, People experience longer
petiod of drought, frequent stom, higher and hotter than average
heat conditions and caused various illnesses to others.
According to the Department of Environment and Natural
Resources (DENR), lies in our hands the future of our resources,
Recycling, restoring. and upeycling may also be alternative way of
putting our trashes in an inventive way.
Proper garbage disposal is not just an obligation, but also a
responsibilty that we share as members of the community. Unfor-
‘tunately, a lot of people are not fully conscious of properly dispos-
ing the garbage. Ifnot given proper attention, water supply will be
contaminated and will lead to a greater effect, the economy of the
Philippines will be in danger
Let's help save Mother Earth against climate change. We
‘must do our part and be responsible enough for the proper disposal
of garbage. We should exercise the 5Rs of waste seerezation such,
‘as Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair and Regain.
‘As what Jose Rizal, our national hero said, the youth is the
hope of our nation. So, we should begin NOW- the proper way of
waste segregation to fight against climate change.

March 6 to convince the authorities to consider their voices
Operators of traditional public jeepneys and mini vans held
strikes in different cities in the country to protest against the
Public Utility Vehicle Modemization Program. Manibela, a
group of public transport led the strike, said that their first day
of holding strikes tumed the National Capital Region (NCR).
almost like an abandoned city. The leaders and organ
ers claimed success, however the Metropolitan Manila Devel-
opment Authority (MMDA) disagreed.
According to Land Transportation Franchising and
Regulatory Board (LTFRB) only 10% of Metro Manila routes
ware affected and only 5% suffered the effects of national
transport strike in the country. Malacaitang mentioned that the
strike failed to disturb the normal public transport operations, In
addition, they also failed to collect substantial regional support,
The main reason operators are protesting is because of the
‘program. which aims to modemize traditional jeepneys and mini
‘vans which is costly and a burden to most operators.
There were reports of harassinent against drivers not partie
pating in the strike, although itis not only the drivers that were
affected but the commuting public as well. Mary

What were these drivers really protesting for? Traditional | advanced, cellular phones have become en y
integral part of our daily lives. They become more popular and
there are important points to consider about their impact on our
society particularly on school children.
Cellular phones have both advantages and disadvantages. They
‘can be both usefial and harm to all learners.
School learners use cellphones as a tool in studying their les-
sons. It is easy for them to understand their lessons while playing
it through ouline games like Kaboot aud Mentimeter. Cellphones
are tools for communication and of big help especially during last
‘two years of pandemic.
However, cellular phones may cause problems among leamers,
too. It is dangerous for them when spending too much time play-
ing games online that results to poor academic performance.
‘Therefore, itis very important for the parents to extend strict
‘guidance for their children. Use cellular phones intelligently and
responsibly.
Jeepney is an easy way to commute and the cheapest too. The
reason why the government wants to replace jeepneys with
e-jeeps is that the traditional ones bring harm. 10 the environ-
ment. On the other hand, what is so good about eeeps? The
most obvious reason is that it doesn't emit black smoke unlike
traditional ones, plus it fearures ow carbon electric technology,
Now, we see why the govemment likes e-jeep better.
11 is hard to choose since both have advantages and dis-
advantages. The government should indeed Keep the traditional
cones, because they have become part of our culture, You

By XARUZNGEL BARON
Milk tea also known as bubble tea or boba tea is a
popular beverage that originated in Taiwan in the 1980s. Itis a
unique drink that combines milk, tea and tapioca pearls. It cre-
ates flavorful and enjoyable experience that has invaded dif-
{erent countries by storm including Philippines.
Milk tea can be made in a variety of ways. To pre-
pare one, brew the tea in water, filling the cup to near full, bar
approximately | finger. Once the tea has infused, add a splash of
milk, often known as a “cloud of milk’. There are no set rules on
how much milk you should add to tea, its all down to personal
preference and the variety of tea being made. The teas that are
not recommended for mixing with milk are: white tea, yellow
tea, green tea, oolong tea and Darjeeling black tea. Either be-
[cause their light, silky body would disappear with the addition of
milk, or because the aromatic idiosyncrasies of more speciality
teas would not be appreciated. For flavoured teas, those with
sweet (chocolate, cocoa, caramel, creamy.) spicy (vanilla, cin-
namon, chai) and spicy ingredients and flavours are the most
suitable for dairy or plant milk. The least suitable: floral, fruity
(except for berries, which are usually goo), menthol and citrus.
‘The popularity of milk tea paved the way for the
[construction of coffeeshop in every corner which holds an op-
portunity to be a spot for friends and family to gather together
and enjoy drinks together.
One thing we know for sure is that tea can be en-
joyed in a whole multitude of different ways and that its benefits
are obtained by drinking it every day, in any variety or prepara-
tion.

TRAVEL BLOGGING
By: ALEXANDRE GEOFF , BARQUILLA
Traveling is the only thing you buy that makes you
richer. It can’t only let you discover the world but yourself
It provides a sense of journey to adapt new cultures and
become more appreciative about it. You can taste different
foods, meet different kinds of people, learn new
languages, and an opportunity to make dealings and
partnerships. You may enjoy life like never before.
Putting up your experiences and making good or bad
memory of them is by making a travel blog. A travel
blogger would write about a place either to provoke or to
inspire others to go on a trip. The blog helps other people
to plan their own journey,
‘There is no specific standard on writing a travel blog,
People who randomly go on a trip may write,
Travel blogging makes a big help not only to people
planning having a trip, but also help in promoting one city
or country to increase return of investment as people talk
about their cities, country and their products, thereby in-
viting other people from foreign countries to see the place.
