Types of shots on goal

•Jump Shot – the most popular shot because a player may jump from
beyond the goal area and is allowed to land inside the goal area, as
long as he/she throws the ball before landing

•Penalty shot – one on one with the goalkeeper. The shooter must
stand with both feet behind the penalty line and keep one foot
stationary during the shot.
Individual technical – tactical actions
BOUNCING It is the result of coordinated flexion-extension of the wrist and arm. During the bounce
you should look at the ball as little as possible and try to protect it from the opponent. It should be
used for running in open spaces or to control the attacking game of the team.

PASSING AND CATCHING THE BALL A handball pass is done by holding the ball in one hand. Right-
handed players should move the left foot forward, twisting of the trunk to the right. Accurate
catching is very important and ensures a fast, smooth and efficient game. Catching the ball
with two hand is the best method.

GRIPPING THE BALL We hold the ball with the fingers and not the palm of the hand.
Little finger and the thumb should be opposite. The fingertip should press on the ball.

FEINTING Action used by an attacker to get the better of the defender.

There is always a change of direction and movement. The different types are to pass, move or shoot.

MARKING We use a marking when an attacker is near with the ball and we have three objetives:
1) Stop the shot. 2) Make the pass difficult. 3) Stop their movement towards the goal.

UNMARKING The unmarking is to create space and avoid your marker. It’s done
without the ball and requires good movement, changes of direction and pace.

SHOOTING The shooting is the final action we use to achieve the aim of scoring a goal.
You need a good hold and movement of the ball. Always be facing the goal.
Types of shoots that exists are, as, with passes, on the floor and in the air.
