1. Introduction

1.1 Purpose
This manual explains the functions of ECS/ACESYS V8 PROFIBUS DP Diagnostics
Faceplate for ECS/ControlCenter V8.

1.2 Intended audience

This manual is relevant for the daily users of the maintenance Engineer.

1.3 How to use this manual

The manual serves as a user guide to get familiar with the faceplate of the
PROFIBUS DP diagnostics with interactive graphic objects. The first part includes
the general description of the PROFIBUS DP diagnostics. The second part explains
about dynamics status of PROFIBUS DP diagnostics in HMI. The third part
explains about the content inside the faceplate explaining individual tabs.

2. General Description

2.1 PROFIBUS DP Diagnostics

The purpose of the PROFIBUS DP Diagnostics module is to announce PROFIBUS
DP status to the user.

4. PROFIBUS DP Diagnostics
Faceplate
ECS/ACESYS faceplates are divided into tabs. To give an overview the tabs will be
shown in the following sections.

4.1 Tab: Status

From the status tab the overall status can be monitored.
