M.Sc. in Meteorology (2022-2023)
Department of Meteorology
Applications are invited from prospective students to join a full-time M.Sc. program in
Meteorology to be offered by the Department of Meteorology, Faculty of Earth and
Environmental Sciences, University of Dhaka. The duration of the program is one and half year.
There are twenty seats. Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

1. For Regular Students:

(a) Applicants must have a minimum First Division or GPA of 3.50 out of 5.00 or
equivalent grades in both SSC and HSC or in equivalent examinations.
(b) Four years graduation in Science, Engineering & Technology with a minimum CGPA
of 3.0 out of 4.0 from any Public University.
(c) Applicants may have max 2 years of study break after passing B.S./B.Sc (Honors).

2. For Employees:
(a) Age Limit: 35 Years
(b) Applicants must have a minimum First Division or GPA of 3.50 out of 5.00 or
equivalent grades in both SSC and HSC or in equivalent examinations.
(c) Four years graduation in Science, Engineering & Technology with a minimum CGPA
of 2.5 out of 4.0 from any University
or
Two/three years graduation in Science, Engineering & Technology with a minimum
CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 from any University with 1 year service experience in
Meteorology and related field.

Applicants will be selected on the basis of their admission test results. An admission test will be
taken on Physics, Mathematics and Earth Sciences.
Marks Distribution:
Physics (MCQ): 30 Marks, Mathematics : 30 Marks, Earth Science (MCQ): 30 Marks, Viva : 10

May, 2023. Application fee of Tk 1500.00 (One Thousand Five Hundred Only) has to be paid at
