I. Introduction
This book is the guide for teacher to teach the students about sounds, letters, and
read the letters. The students are expected on how to read and write.

II. Objectives
● Read the alphabets of English (EN2AK-If-g-1)
● Give the beginning sound of each consonant (s) (EN2AK-If-g-1)
● Name the pictures that begin its name with a particular consonant (EN2AK-
IIIa-c-1.2)
● Give the beginning consonant sound of the name of each picture
● Produce speech sounds (sounds and letter names)
● Determine the meaning of words using clues

Silly Little Sally

There lived a little girl Sally who was very silly and lazy. Often she
used to wander hither and thither with in purpose. Once, as she went
wandering she felt very thirsty. She went to a pond nearby and
quenched her thirst. She felt very tired and drowsy. She slept right there
on the banks of the pond. When she woke up it was night already. She
peeped into the pond but could not see her reflection. She got a big
doubt, “Am I really here or not? Well! Let me ask at my home”. She went
home and found the door closed. She called out “Is Sally in there?” A
sleepy voice replied, “Oh! She must be in bed”. Sally thought, “If Sally is
at home, I am not Sally. Saying this, she went away.

She is a graduate of Master of Arts major in Guidance and Counseling at


University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City. At present she is taking up Master of Art in
Teaching Mathematics in the same University.
