ABTSTRACT

This project work describes the construction and designing of distance object Proximity Sensor
using IR and LEDs. The construction focuses more on IR most common types of sensor and
widely available. This design was done by using IR as the sensor and LEDs as the signal
indicator at various level of distance with battery of 9 volt and series of other electrical
component highlighted in the work to achieve our goal. This device was tested in an outdoor
environment to evaluate the proximity detection and warning technology. Experimental results
show that proximity sensing and warning technologies can provide alerts to equipment operators
at different proximity alert ranges. The results suggest that safety can be promoted in a
laboratory and field experiment by implementing real-time proximity sensing and warning
technology. The theory, design, circuit analysis, and circuit diagram were provided to give
adequate information about the design.
