    Part One
    Read this email from your English friend, Sam.

    Did you have a good weekend? Who did you


    spend it with? What did you do?

    Write an email to Sam and answer the questions.


    Write 25 – 35 words.

    Part Two
    Write a story that begins with this sentence:

    Helena and Tom ran down the road as fast as they could.

    Write about 100 words.

    Part One
    Choose two or more of these questions to ask each student.
    • What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
    • Describe a typical weekday in your life.
    • What did you do on your last birthday?
    • Is this town a good place to live? Why / why not?
    • What are your plans for the future?
    • Tell me about a film/movie you’ve seen recently.
    • Can you describe your favourite room?
    • Tell me about a journey you remember.

    Part Two
    Teacher:
    I’m going to give you a photograph. I’d like you to talk about it.

    Here is your photograph. Please can you tell me what you see in your photograph.
    [one minute]
