Student A: Describe and compare the people in the pictures. What is their job? What experience and skills do they
need to do their jobs? Try to speak for one minute without stopping or repeating yourself.

In the first image we see a nurse attending or helping an elderly person. Her job is to take the patient's medical
history, perform a physical exam, and order procedures and laboratory tests. Some experiences and skills is the
autonomous and collaborative care of people of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or healthy and in all
settings. She is also the doctor's assistant.

In the second image we see a coffee farmer. His job is to pick the cherries and earn income from the coffee that is
grown on the land. Some experiences and skills are good soil preparation before planting, keeping the pH between 5.2
and 6.3, good root development and good nutrient availability.

Student B: Listen to Student A and then tell him/her your thoughts on this question:
Which do you think is the harder job? Why?

The most difficult job is that of a nurse since the hours of work and study are usually long without established hours.
The study is rigorous and dedicated which will hinder your social life. You have to prepare yourself for death and
extreme situations.

In the first image we see a firefighter. Her job is to fight fires and also deal with emergencies, such as road and rail
accidents, and floods. They are found in emergencies such as traffic accidents, chemical spills, floods and rescue
situations. I do consider that she feels satisfied since it is gratifying to help people.

In the second image we see a person painting. Her job is to prepare the paint and the painting process with the
corresponding materials and tools depending on the type of surface to be painted and the finish to be achieved. I do
know that you are satisfied with your work, since you can see that you are passionate about it and that it is something
very nice to do.

Student A: Listen to Student B and then tell him/her your thoughts on this question:
Which job would you prefer to do? Why?

I would prefer the work of a painter since it is something of dedication where you have to let your creativity out and
magnificent results come out. I would also be afraid of being a firefighter because of the different situations that can
be found.
