INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR ISOLATED AMPLIFIER, 1ODEL PA-150 One Sokki Co., Ltd. Tokyo/Japan dy 1. GENERAL Because of the fact that the frequency signal produced in a detector is disturbed by the external noise of induction when it is transmitted remotely, the measuring and control equipment which receives such a signal output may fail to operate correctly. For the purpose of preventing the signal from being disturbed during transmission, Isolated Amplifier, Model PA-150 has been designed with furnishing the following functions: (1) Transmits higher output signal by amplifying the signal and reducing the output impedance. (2) Outputs by wave-shaping the signal into the sharp rectangular wave when it is raising and falling. (3) Prevents to flow the stray current by giving the isolation between the input and output. (4) Furnishes with DC 12v, 0.1A for thé power supply of detector. (5) Connects with the terminal mount that is sturdily constructed and easy 2. si 2 to work even if it is under the bad circumstances. How to connect the input signal ‘The input signal connection is accomplished by either of the single . ended input type or differential input type even if it is depending upon the input type. Generally, this unit is pre-connected by a short bar vhen shipping, because the single ended input signal 1s more popular than the differential input type. xan DEMIS em ———A & b— 10 (a) When using in the single ended input (unbalanced) D In case of using the signal input or coaxial cable grounded one side of wir the electric potential differs against the ground of two signal wires. : when receiving such a signal, connect the wire or shield of grounded side of signal wire that twisted LO terminal and CoM terminal with the short bar by connecting signal wire of "HOT" side as shown in Fig.4 Coaxial cable core ‘Twisted oair cable with shielded a] Son > CoM UG, oD (2 ® [2] Fig.4 Connections of single ended Connections of differential (Balanced) (unbalanced) input input (4P-006, HP-009, ete). : (b) When using the differential (balanced) input The differential input is the input which called as in the form of Aifferential or balanced. Otherwise, the edge of the rectangular wave-form outout will be ringing to let the connected instrument malfunction. When you want to extend the cable to the total length of 10 meters or Longer, match the impedance of the cable by inserting a resistor at the end of the cable according to the total length. when a resistor is inserted, the output voltage will drop in proportion to the output impedance. {example 1] When S00m microphone cord (impedance + 1200) is used. output wave-form 1, Frequency 10 Kitz, without resistor Output vave-form 2, Frequency 10 KHz, Resistor 120% wv potent EME ana ———a 9 b— 7 {example 2} When 500m coaxial cable (impedance + 75M 3¢-2v is used.
