Past Simple Negative Form Explained

To form the negative of sentences in the past simple tense, you add "did not" or "didn't" before the main verb. For example, "She did not talk to me yesterday", "They were not at home last night", "I did not watch a good movie at home", "He did not win the competition", "She did not become a supermodel", "It did not rain last week", "Susan did not like the movie", "My sister did not play basketball with her friends".
