SUBJECT: MID-TERM EXAMINATION FOR YEARS 7-10/

TERM 2 EXAMINATION FOR YEARS 11-13

Greetings and good wishes from The Westminster School, Dubai!

The primary goal of Term Examination is to help us measure our students’ achievement at the
end of the dedicated instructional period. We aim to evaluate student learning, skill acquisition,
and academic achievement at the end of the given period of teaching and learning.

The Assessment will commence as follows:

 Year 7 – 10 – March 13th 2023
 Year 11 – March 7th 2023
 Year 12 - March 9th 2023
 Year 13 - March 13th 2023
If your child is unable to take the exam, we will require you to submit a valid medical
certificate. Please note that there will be no re-exams conducted under any circumstances.

Dispersal time for Years 7-10

Year 7-10 students will continue with their regular lessons after the Examination each day. Early
dispersal is not permitted.

Dispersal time and Pickups for Years 11-13

Year 11-13 students are permitted to go home after their Examination. Please note that
students will leave after the exams based on the examination dates and exam duration.
Boys and Sixth Form students will have to use Gate 3 and Girls will use Gate 6 for both entry
and exit.
Own Transport Students are requested to make arrangements for the pick up after the exam.
In case of any delay in picking up your child, he/she is expected to be seated in his/her allocated
waiting room only.
Students are not allowed to wait in other areas of the school including the reception or at the
Gates.

Expectations during examinations

Please find attached the norms every student is expected to adhere to during the
Examination days.

1. All students need to report to school by 7:30 a.m., in regular school uniform (no PE
uniform for Years 11-13, but allowed for Years 7-10 as per their PE lesson), smartly
dressed.
2. Students are expected to bring their own stationery (Pencils/ pens/ erasers/
calculators/ geometrical instruments) for the exams.
3. Exchange of any kind of stationery in the exam hall is strictly prohibited.
4. Bringing unauthorized material into the examination room (for example, notes,
study guides and personal organizers, own blank paper, calculators, dictionaries
(when prohibited), watches, mobile phones or other electronic devices is strictly
prohibited.
5. No student is permitted to talk/ communicate through gestures/ possess
any other written material in the examination hall.
6. Anyone found not in compliance/ misbehaving /causing any disturbance in the
exam room/hall will be disqualified from the examination.
7. Issues as mentioned in points 3 – 6 is considered as malpractice, and any student
involved in the same will not be able to take any further examination.
