The world environment day

Good morning respected principal, Teachers and all my dear friends, I am

here to give a speech on world environment Day.

World environment day is the UN’s most important day for encouraging
worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. It
is celebrated on 5th June every year. Since it began in 1974 it has grown
to become a global platform for the public.

Environment plays an important role in healthy living and the existence

of life on earth. The earth is a home for different living species and we all
depend on the environment for food, air, water and other needs. Nature’s
gifts are rare and cannot be purchased with money. Therefore, it is very
important for every individual to save and preserve our environment.

Air, Water and land pollutions are three major forms of environmental
pollution. This pollution has adverse impacts on humans, Plants and
animals.

My dear friends, It is important that everyone wake up before it’s too late.
We can make our earth a better place to live by taking simple steps like
planting trees, saving Trees, reducing plastic usage and saving all natural
resources. If everyone starts doing these simple steps, it will turn into
something big, as the saying goes “Every drop makes an ocean”. It is true
in this case as well.
