Activity 1:

1. What can you say about the environmental issues or situations that we are in for now,
especially on global warming and climate change?
 The environmental issues or situations that we are facing right now most especially
climate change and global warming are getting worst because people are also
changing not for the better but for the worst. Maybe, some are doing their best to
prevent global warming and climate change but still many people don’t have
discipline. Even if they know that dumping garbage in the river can cause pollution
which leads to suffocation of living organism inside the water such as fish and
corals, even if they know that burning of garbage makes the ozone layer thinner,
even if they know how much climate change hurt them and put every organism on
the Earth at big risk, they still turn a blind eye and deaf ear and continue doing the
bad things. Solving climate change and global warming can save our life so
disciplining ourselves and helping together is the only way we can to save every
being on earth may it be plants, animals and humans.

2. Do you think that we, the people of Ifugao are not facing such environmental issues as
part of the whole world or even in Asia Pacific?
 I don’t think so because global warming and climate change is actually one of the
environmental issue that we are facing.

3. What do you think are the environmental issues that we Ifugao’s are facing that needs
really to be given attention and action?
 Climate change
 Pollution
 Soil Erosion
 Waste disposal

4. Who do you think are capable of acting or doing something to be of help to mother earth?
 Environmentalist, Social Workers, Volunteers
Are these the only people that has to act or do something? Why did you say so?
 Absolutely no because every living person has the responsibility to take care of
mother earth. We are all living on the same planet wherein each and every person
has a special place to stay and live in either in a big house, small house, at the
park, in the road side or anywhere on the corner of the earth, then we are ought to
protect that place, to take care of it and make it as safe and as beautiful as we can.
Every person has the responsibility to protect, take care, help prevent and mitigate
environmental issues which can bring our mother earth in danger as well as our
lives. Mother earth produce our needs in life so we cannot live without the foods,
clothing and air that we breathe.

5. Is there anything that you can do to be of help to mother earth?

 Yes of course.
Can you name ways that we are capable of doing to somehow ease or maybe not
contribute to more damage to the environmental issues or situations that we are into?
 Plant trees and stop deforestation
 Don’t burn yard’s waste instead reuse, reduce and recycle them
 Conserve water
 Stop littering and throwing garbage in the river
 Educate people who are not aware of the environmental issues and who are not
aware that they are actually killing our mother earth
 Volunteer for cleanups in our community
 Clean the canals and places where mosquitoes can lay eggs
 Discipline oneself and don’t be an ignorant
