Learning Outcomes
1.Prepare themselves for job
application, interview and
requirements.
CV is a detailed description of all the
academic activities and accomplishments you
have accumulated during doctoral study, and
includes extensive information about
academic experience, including degrees,
teaching experience, research,
awards/honors, professional
associations/licenses, publications,
presentations and other achievements.
A resume is typically shorter — one-to-two
pages at most — and will dedicate more
space to your work and research experience.
It focuses less on academic awards,
conference presentations and publications.
A résumé is one of the most
important tools to assist you in
getting an interview for a
job.
It brings together your education,
work experience, interests,
and skills into one comprehensive but
brief outline for the employer to read.
A résumé should be a good
reflection of who you are, since it is
the first impression a potential
employer has of you, so take your
time when preparing your résumé.
Basic Elements of a
good Resume
Heading
This section of a résumé is one of the most important.
It should include your name, address, email address
and phone number.
1. Salutation
2. Opening
3. Body
4. Closing
You can effectively achieve this by
including evidence of your productivity
by noting any cost or time savings and
mentioning innovations, changes, or
actions that show you produced results.
THANK YOU!!!
