Introduction:
If gold is the king of metals, then silver may be
rightly called the "Queen of Metals". The shine of
silver bears comparison with the radiance of
moonlight. Its lustre is no less enticing than the glitter
of gold.

Silver is often called 'half moon' because of its

resemblance with the moonlight. (Rubrics: New

is derived from Gothic word silbur or from the
Assyrian word serpu.
A country in Latin America, Argentina has
derived its name from the word silver. In early
sixteenth century, Spanishuexplorer Juan Solis sighted
