Clamp across the maunting flange of the motor not the Rousing, Excessive clamping pressure will use distortion. When clamping, use some protective device on the vise, such as special sft jaws, peces of hard rubber or board, ‘Athough not all drawings show the motor ina vise, we recommend, Seal Seal —~ &— Case Drain Plug ‘that you keep the motor inthe vise during disassembly and reas- sently. Replace an parts that have scratches or ‘burrs that could cause leakage. Clean all metal parts in clean solvent, Blow dry with ar. Do not wipe dry with cloth or paper towel because lint or other mater can get in the Hydraulic system and cause damage. Do not use a coarse git or try to file or grind these pars. Check around the keyway and chamfered area ofthe shaft for buts, nicks oF sharp edges that can damage the seals when reassembling the bearing housing Note: Lubricate all seals (prior to installation) with petroleum jelly such as Vaseline, Use new seals when reassembling this motor. Refer to pars list (6-129) for proper seal kt number. 21 Use a press to install exclusion seal in outer bore of bearing housing, Lip of seal must face outward. Soe Figure 11.
