Firstly, Antonella and I had approximately six classes of observation, in which we met Lorena, the 4th year teacher from the 4th division of ENOVA high school, and the thirty students who make up the course. Classes were on Mondays from 7:30 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. and Fridays from 8:10 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. After the observation period, Antonella began to develop her didactic sequence and I was her helper. The job of a helper is to help in whatever the student teacher needs, whether it is cleaning the board, handing out photocopies, asking for silence, monitoring activities or being close to those students who need flexibility and more attention from the teacher. My experience as Antonella's helper was very good and positive. I tried to be as dynamic and helpful as possible. She developed her sequence very well in each class and the students responded well to that. Every correction or advice that the teachers gave her was also taken by me, since after she finished it was my turn. When you are a helper, you always have to be willing to help and speed up those little tasks that can take up class time for the student teacher. Based on my experience, I can say that Antonella was a great pedagogical partner and it was very nice to have been able to help her from my place of helper.
