DESCRIPTION Traditionally, undergraduate medical courses have presented anatomy as a discipline-based course
organized around anatomical regions (e.g. back or thorax). Recently, however, an increasing number
of US medical schools have begun to present anatomy through an integrated, system-based
curriculum (e.g. musculoskeletal or gastrointestinal). Though most commercial resources have not
caught up with the demand for texts in this format, this book has: it provides 500 USMLE-style
multiple choice questions and explanations, organized by systems. The online bank of questions on
WinkingSkull can be organized by difficulty, system, anatomical region, or a number of other factors.
Extensively illustrated with gorgeous anatomy images, this book is ideal for medical and osteopathic
students who are preparing for Step 1 of the USMLE or who are reviewing for anatomy courses.
SALES HOOKS • The 500 questions are 20% easy recall questions, 40% moderate application questions, and
40% difficult synthesis questions, as the USMLE is primarily moderate and difficult questions
• Each question is classified by factors including difficulty, symptoms, and diseases, so problem
areas can be identified and questions selected by categorization in the online system
• This book’s organization is unique; rather than classical organization by region, this book
follows an integrated systems-based format to meet the rise in curricula following this format
