III. PROCEDURE

B. Review of the past Lesson


Share an image of 2 people who are arguing and ask the learners if they can
publish an argument writing out of the argument presented.

C. Lesson Proper

B1. The teacher will present 3 issues and the learners will identify whether
they can create an argumentative writing out of it or not.
B2.The teacher will have a direct discussion of the following:
a. definition of a position paper
b. purpose of a position paper
c. parts of a position paper
d. how to write a position paper

*Emphasize the importance of presenting valid reasons to win in an


argument even in everyday life.

D. Activity
Ask the learners to write their stand/claim/position on the issue:
“IMPLEMENTATION OF 4 DAY SCHOOL WEEK”

Let them present at least 3 reasons why people should believe their claim.
