Title Analysis
Kallaloo refers to a vegetable, and
it is the name of a very popular
soup made in Trinidad and Tobago
and Dominica.
Plot
An old woman (Granny) claims to have found a
magic shell that can make kallaloo, a popular
Caribbean soup. She quickly carries the shell to
the market.
She protests that the people in the market are
too poor to give away food, but they all end up
contributing ingredients for the traditional
Caribbean soup.
