Summer 2023 Term
Project
• Group of size 5 (Max 6) students

• Topic: A detail investigation of a problem that is beyond those provided by
the text. Problem data would need to include growth data and cyclical data.

• Using one of approaches discussed in the class (BPR, Forecast, Aggregate
planning, Inventory models, MRP/JIT, and Scheduling) to solve a real-world
problem (or data obtained from a research paper), which can be either from
yourself experiences (even Capstone projects) or others (like problems de-
scribed in journals/books.)

• It is also very good to report a recent related journal paper(s) related to our
contents, develop a small program to implement one of the approaches, or
give a paper or software survey for a particular topic.

Project proposal: Due: June 26, 2023
• Title and group members with one-page brief introduction, submitted
ONLINE via Brightspace
• PPT slides for 3-5 minutes (Need to submit two hard copies at time of
presentation).

Final Project report
Due: July 31, 2023, but can be extended to August 8th without penalty.

• Table of Contents
• List of tables and figures (if any)

Final Project Presentation
• 20-minute presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A
• Target 1 slide per minute
• Summarize all work completed compared to your proposal deliverables.
• Every group member must present at the proposal or at the final presenta-
tion.
