To what extent can words change the world?

Words have an extraordinary effect on the things we know, how we communicate and relate with people
and the choices we inevitably make. Words can inspire us, transform us, represent our thoughts, give us
our identity, create cultures and beliefs, and give us new perspectives in creative ways. or just as easily
bring us to tears. Words change our relationships, our demeanor, our entire system of beliefs, and even
our businesses. With words we can create new ways to do things. We can help people see and
understand more easily and clearly help people make decisions that will determine the future of the
next generations. What follows are several ways language can change our world. However, words are
extremely dangerous if not controlled despite them not instigating immediate rapid change. The bible
describes the true power of the words from the tongue, “The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among
the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself
set on fire by hell. but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.” – James
3:6-8”. Words are a key part of humanity that creates stability in our society, from political statements, to
famous and infamous people or groups, and to even a single phrase in a piece of text; any and every
word can make an impact. Managing the world and the things that reside in it requires communication,
with words being the most versatile and common means of communication it isn’t surprising that
humanity has become so dependent and affected by the words people speak. The sentences and
phrases people say and write can determine a person’s relations, their personality, and even their life
depending on what words are said, how they are said; and who is saying them. The words themselves
matter a lot as there are degrees of formality, etiquette, and respect that control how the audience
understands the message your words are trying to pass. Just as well, the way you say your words matters
a lot as emotions and behaviour control the formality and etiquette and in the grand scheme of things,
the message towards the audience. Displaying negatives emotions as words are said can make the words
themselves seem negative despite them not initially being negative. Moreover, the effects can be as
measly as a annoyed face from the audience, to disastrous situations riots and protests and even
terrorism depending on the intensity of the speakers emotions and or their behaviour. The speaker also
matters as the influence one has can also change a lot in terms of the importance of the message.
