1. Why study humanities? Why is the study of art important?

Humanities is the study of literature, art, linguistics, philosophy, religion,

archeology, anthropology, and many more. Studying humanities is important
since this talk more about social sciences. This also states that humanities talk
more about interpersonal and intrapersonal features of living in this world. It would
also benefit us since it will give us a gist of how the life works.

Studying art is important because this can be a power to a person. Like any
other sciences and mathematics, having knowledge about a certain topic and
mastering it gives power and authority. Studying and mastering art can give us
opportunities to sharpen our skill and to relay a message to the audience.

2. What is art? Where is the line between art and not art? What in art is truly objective
and not subjective?

Art is something that is a product of expression, application, imagination, and

skills of an artist. This is also a way of other artist to give awareness or a message
to the audience. Art is not just a piece of aesthetics and craft, but can also be a
means of communication to people.

I believe that everything that we do is an art. This is because most of the things
that we do are a result of expression and perception. Visual art is just a small area
of art. Art can be through certain movements of the body, sounds and many more.

This can be reiterated as art is a very subjective. Art cannot be judged based
on its form for each art has a deeper meaning. Although some art is quite made
for the sake of making art, it still contributes to different aspects of art.

3. What is art history? What is art appreciation? How are history and art related?

Art history is basically the study of art and the understanding of how art evolved
through time and different artists. On the other hand, art appreciation is an area of
art in which people gets to critic or have a judgement of a certain piece of art.
Although we said that art is subjective, art appreciation is used to share knowledge

of the critiques and artists to improve their art and be the best version of
themselves.

Art is done by people in previous centuries. By those years, many things were
discovered. This means that we can relate history and art since art was mastered
and perfected by a lot of people over the past centuries. An important era for art is
the renaissance era in which artists rose their way up towards improving artworks
and bringing out the best of their outputs.

4. Why do people create works of art? What benefits does art provide society? Does
art hurt society in any way?
There are numerous reasons why people create art. Some people make art
for expression, source of income, and many more. But the main reason why people
make art is to portray a message and preserve art.
Making art provides aesthetics in the society. But the depth meaning and
benefit of art in the society is that it can be a way to give message and show
awareness in a much more creative way. In fact, art can help us to open our eyes
whenever we are lost into being wicked. Art can also help people to reduce their
stress and express what they feel in an artwork.
Art can be so impactful in a way that it can make an emotional rapport to the
audience. If the artist is creative enough to make an artwork that portrays a
message. There would be a tendency that the audience would have a takeaway
towards the art and would help them change their ways in the real life. To sum this
up, art can interact with our feelings, it can make us happy, hurt, cry, and angry.

5. What is creativity? Why is creativity necessary in art making?

Creativity is the use of imagination or original ideas to come up with something

that is uniquely presentable in terms of aesthetics and other forms of art.

Creativity is important in art making since it opens doors for new concepts and
techniques that would help broaden the scope and industry of art. Moreover, this

also gives aspiring art enthusiasts a lot of choices and complexities when they start
making art.

6. When can we say that a person is creative? Are there limits to human creativity?

Art is subjective. Therefore, things can be different from another in various

aspects. Art also consists of principles, theories, and other technicalities.

Given the fact that there are fundamentals in art, a person can be called
creative if he/she uses those fundamentals and other knowledge in terms of art
and build something new, unique, different, and impactful.

This is what makes art exciting. Because there are no limits into human
creativity, there are a lot of hidden concepts of art that are just waiting to be
discovered.

7. Is it being possible for humans to create something completely novel and new that
is based on nothing that previously existed? Or is human creativity just rearranging
and building on previous ideas?
Some people are using the past in order to make something out of their
imagination. Some people also make the past as to something that could
compliment their novels to be futuristic or modern.
But I believe that we can make things that are completely new to our senses.
Like what we said earlier, a person’s imagination is infinite. Therefore, a lot of
things can be made in art with the product of pure imagination. At the end of the
day, rearranging the previous ideas and coming up with something new can be a
very dynamic way to scrutinize and pour out creativity into a certain output.
