As I sit at my desk, typing away,

My keyboard clacking like the beat of a fray,

I can't help but notice my bed nearby,
Tempting me with its soft pillows to lie.

But I must resist the temptation of sleep,

For there's work to be done, and deadlines to keep,
And though climbing the stairs seems like such a chore,
I need to stay focused, now more than before.

So I'll sit at my keyboard, and type with delight,

Until the work is done, and everything is right,
And then I'll crawl into my cozy bed,
And dream the sweet dreams that dance in my head.
