ALUMNI HOMECOMING SCRIPT

(Note: acknowledge the presence of VIP’s former teachers and barangay officials)

LESLEY: Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen! I would like to remind everyone to please invite your
friends now to watch and join our 6th grand alumni homecoming for we are about to start the program a
moment from now. I would like to seek your cooperation in completing this special event. Thank you!

ROAN: Requesting everyone to please settle down, the program will begin in 5 minutes. Kindly call or
text your friends and batchmates now to join and party with us tonight.

*****START*****

JHEM: To formally begin the program, let us all rise, and feel the presence of our almighty father through
a doxology by select CSHI students, and remain so, for the singing of a nationalistic song which will be
played through an audio-visual presentation.

JHEM: You may now take your seats.

ROAN: Good evening, Sinilian First!

LESLEY: Good evening CSHI!

ALL: Good evening CSHIans!

JHEM: This is Jeremie Legaspi.

LESLEY: I am Lesley Reyes

ROAN: and I am Roan Licuben

ALL: and we are your hosts for tonight’s event.

LESLEY: So CSHIans! By the way it’s wonderful to see all of you gathered here tonight. How have you
been these days? I know everyone is having a hard time in adjusting especially now that we are still in
the process of adjusting to the effects of the pandemic. However, I like you to take a break from your
stress and worries for this is a special night for all of you.

JHEM: Exactly, ma’am Lesley! We know how hard everything has been since the pandemic started, and
now after 3 years everything seems going back to the old normal. Hence, that is why we are proud to say
that with all the hard work put into this event, I assure you it will be a memorable one. An advance thank
you to all the people behind this successful event especially the faculty and staff of CSHI and CSHI Alumni
Association for realizing this amazing event.

ROAN: That’s right ma’am Jeremie. Indeed, we must make the best of things. Di’ ba sabi nga ni Catriona
Gray, “We should see every situation with a silver lining,” and I can say with great honor that this is our
silver lining. It is my pleasure to welcome you all to our 6 th grand alumni homecoming. We appreciate
you taking time off your busy schedules just to join us tonight. As we embody UNITY, RESILIENCE, AND
HOPE despite the pandemic that we have experienced that hindered almost all of us from seeing our
friends and colleagues. We learn to appreciate each other more when we are apart. Despite the global
pandemic that has kept individuals from seeing their loved ones, many relationships have flourished
because of this very belief. CSHI and its Alumni Association likewise believe in this. As a result, the 6th
GRAND Alumni Homecoming was made possible and it’s taking place to happen tonight.

LESLEY: that is true partner. We really appreciate your presence tonight CSHIans. For the last 3 years
we’ve been locked inside the four-corner sides of our homes, we are restricted to conduct mass
gatherings for fear that the infectious disease might infect us. But look at us now, seating and
celebrating things again in a synchronous yet faced-to-faced way. So, this is something that we should be
grateful for, we were able to surpass the challenge brought by the pandemic and everything is slowly
coming back to normal.

JHEM: Alright so this time, before we formally start our program, let us acknowledge first our dear
alumnus and alumna through a roll call by Sir JC Casao.

LESLEY: Ayan partners! Wasn’t that nostalgic?

ROAN: What a big word naman partners. Nostalgic parang pag-ibig niya sayo na hanggang sa ala-ala
nalang? Charot! Anyway partners, it’s fascinating to hear again those yells and how they proudly shout
out their batch years, that only shows how we missed this kind of gathering and how far we have come.
This year’s theme, “REVISIT, RECREATE, RELIVE MEMORIES” provides an unequaled opportunity to see
old friends, meet new ones, learn about the different changes happening in CSHI, and reminisce about
the era that made us into successful human beings we are now.

LESLEY: That’s right ma’am ROAN. Our years in CSHI were memorable years. We had a great time
growing up. We didn't have much money, but we learned to appreciate what we did have. We didn't
have our own computers, video games, or cellphones, but we did have the freedom to explore nature
and have fun while doing it, as well as to communicate with our peers and teachers in a meaningful way.
Even though some of us were struggling financially, we didn't feel hopeless because we understood what
we wanted to do with our lives. This was the driving force behind our journey, and it's what ultimately
brought us back to honor our beloved alma mater.

ROAN: Indeed

JHEM: This time to formally start this program, may I call in on stage our beloved and industrious
Principal, DR. ANGELITO S. MAGAT for his opening remarks.

*****AFTER MESSAGE******

LESLEY: ALRIGHT! Thank you, DR. ANGELITO, S. MAGAT for officially welcoming us. It was such a warm
welcome indeed.

ROAN: I agree ma’am Lesley! This time, to introduce our resource speaker for tonight, let us call in the
presence of our very own Academic Department Head Teacher III ma’am LERMA R. PARTIDO to introduce
our guest speaker.

*****AFTER INTRODUCING *****

JHEM: All right, thank you ma’am Lerma for officially introducing our speaker for tonight. So, without
further ado, let us clap our hands and welcome Honorable Mayor ERLON C. AGUSTIN.

*****AFTER TALK*****
ROAN: All right, thank you so much MAYOR ERLON C. AGUSTIN (some insights about the talk). That was
very inspiring and motivating indeed. Thank you for such insightful remarks.

LESLEY: This time is the awarding of certificate and giving of token to our resource speaker. Requesting
DR. ANGELITO S. MAGAT, MR. DOMINGO G. DE JESUS JR., MRS. LERMA R. PARTIDO and MRS. ZENAIDA
PANIGBATAN our alumni president to award the certificate. Let me read the content of the certificate.

JHEM: Are you still with us CSHIans? Many of us were creating memories without even realizing it. We
were solely aware of our enjoyment. Only then can we understand how priceless the moments are when
they are locked and captured within the four corners of a photograph. It’s nice to reminisce the past,
because present won’t become as precious as this without the foundation of the past. Speaking of past,
may I ask you partners what was your fondest memory in your high school days?

LESLEY: (I think partners the most memorable part of my high school days was attending the JS prom kasi
you got the chance to dance with your crush. Charis!) how about you ma’am Roan?

ROAN: (Answer) Let us hear naman from ma’am Jhem of course, how about you ma’am, what was the
most memorable memory you had in High School?

JHEM: (answer) alright, Without further ado, CSHIans! Do you want to be entertained?

CRES: REQUESTING ALL THE TEACHERS TO BE IN FRONT. At this point, we would be remiss not to pay
tribute to our former teachers, both those present and those present in spirit, and the great
contribution and impact they had upon our lives. For most, if not all of us, our formative teen years
were a time of growth, adventure, excitement, and experimentation. But there were also times of
uncertainty, fear, sadness and pain. The best thing for being sad is to learn something. Learning is
the thing for you. In the larger scheme of things, it didn’t matter so much that you, our teachers, taught
us , mathematics, English, music, and many more. What mattered most was that because of your
mission and dedication, you taught us the lifelong value of learning and the effects it can have on
our own, as well as others lives.

Jhun: And for that, we sincerely thank and honor you. And now, May we request our Batch President to
please come up the stage for the giving back to our dear teachers, to be assisted by the Batch officers
here present.
