Racism as defined by Merriam Webster dictionary is a belief that

race is a
fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences
produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. Racial discrimination does not
only happen during the exploration period for we are not blind and we are all aware on
the fact that the discrimination against races are still rolling nowadays. This rampant
aggression on races, specifically on black people gives a lot of negative impact and
unpleasant feeling not only to them but also to those people who love and care for
them. For me, the kind of mindset like the “darker a person, the ‘dirtier and impure’
they are” is purely a mindset that is more dirty and impure. I mean how could you
judge a person by its color? Is it safe then to think that white people are clean and
pure? Well, absolutely no because it’s an absurd idea. If that kind of mindset would be
normalize, then more people would be like an animal as well. If the reason why black
people could not land on a job particulary on white dominated countries just becuase
their skin color is black is clearly a racial discrimination. And for me, no matter what
angle you see this example, I still find it wrong. No one would want to be
discriminated, and so I just hope that equity and equality would stand in between all of
us. After all, we are all God’s creation and in His eyes we are all capable of anything
no matter what skin color you have.

B.

COVID-19, a virus that almost countries already had. A virus that originated from
China and killed 4.55M of the population of the world. Blaming others especially in this
time of suffering is not new on us, human beings. It seems like it’s part of our nature
to blame others but I’m not generelizing A.

in this time of suffering is not new to us, human beings. It seems like it’s part of our
nature to blame others not generally, but some or I could say most of us. And since
blaming others can’t be avoided in some instances, is it now okay to blame Asian
people or to be specific Chinese people on the situation we have right now? Are they
to be blame why economy is almost depleting, why businesses can’t operate, why
people can’t go out and have some fun? Are we to be blame? Of course as an Asian,
it saddens me to hear that some of our Asian descents have suffered discrimination,
harassment and violence in public places. No one deserves to be treated like that,
whether you are from western country or eastern country or wherever you came from,
whether you are an American, African or Asian. Humans are meant to be treated like
a human. May this kind of treatment would not be fostered to the young ones, I hope
that their pure heart and innocent mind would not be filled with negativity so that
they’ll see this world with full of respect, love, kindness and peace. Love not Hate.
Humanity not cruelty.
