Camp Broadway Indonesia Announces Students


Representing Indonesia in The New York Pops
40th Birthday Gala at Carnegie Hall

Camp Broadway Indonesia has announced the five selected students who will join the
Camp Broadway Ensemble to perform at The New York Pops 40th Birthday Gala at
Carnegie Hall in New York City. The five selected students to represent Camp
Broadway Indonesia are: Jane Callista (16), Hitadewi Abhassara (14), Rania Salsabila
Azzahra (15), Asira Shifa Widiarto (15) and Cittadewi Abhassara (12).
The selected students will sharpen their skills with a 3-day workshop program at
Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) in the months leading up to their departure to New York
City this April to perform with The New York Pops at the prestigious Carnegie Hall, New
York City.

The students will perform in The New York Pops 40th Birthday Gala, which will honor
the Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Award-winning icon Barry Manilow, the beloved
American singer and songwriter whose career spans seven decades.

Amrytha . Students were chosen with
counsel from Susan E. Lee, founder of
the Broadway Education Alliance Inc.
and Theo Lencicki, Director and
Choreographer of the Camp Broadway
Ensemble.

Marciano notes, “We hope to instill the importance of ensemble and teamwork onto the
kids going to New York. It’s a great honor for Indonesian talent to be represented at
Carnegie Hall. We alongside the kids have created such a positive environment and we
cannot wait for them to experience the Gala.”

The Gala will feature an all-star cast of Broadway and recording artists. Camp
Broadway Indonesia's students will join the renowned Camp Broadway Ensemble and
perform alongside other youth performers from across the world. The New York Pops
40th Birthday Gala will be held at Stern Auditorium /Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall
on Monday, May 1st 2023 at 19:00 NYC Time.
