Introduction

The Barangay Health Center is a patient-centered, community-based

organization. Its objective is to offer all community members first aid, maternal
and pediatric healthcare, social disease diagnosis, and other fundamental health
services.

Per community or district, there should ideally be one barangay health center.
However, it could be challenging to reach a neighboring Barangay Health Center
from some remote places. Due to their close proximity to one another and a
shortage of staff, some districts may share a Barangay Health Center.

It frequently serves as the initial point of interaction between community

members and other tiers of healthcare facilities. The DOH regulates the services
provided by Barangay Health Centers. Under the direction of the local
government and the municipal health officer, projects may be led by each center.
Every health facility is set up to offer primary level medical care. Doctors, public
health nurses, nutritionists, medical technicians, rural health midwives, barangay
health workers, dentists, etc. are frequently employed by barangay health
centers.

Analyze the situation.

Every household, especially children, had received their vaccinations, according
to the health data we got in the barangay we visited. However, the barangay
doesn't have any health programs that will benefit all local families or kids.

Identify your organization’s needs, problems, purposes, and goals.

Needs and Problem- The community lacks funding, healthcare professionals,

medical supplies, and equipment.

Purpose- The goal of healthcare is to promote healthy communities and provide

individuals and families with affordable, easily accessible, and high-quality
primary health care services. Communities will be crisis-resistant if these
objectives are met. For locals, healthcare acts as a type of protection, helping
them when they encounter difficult situations. The goal of this healthcare is to act
as a shield and defender for each individual and every family as a result.
