B-What is meant by “Key Figures”? : Key figures are basic numbers (for example, absolute numbers such
as individual values, totals, differences, or averages) or relationship numbers

a-What is meant by “characteristics”?: A characteristic is an qualitative classification term such as


division, region, department or company. Characteristics are criteria according to which, data for key
figures is saved and evaluated, for example, revenue per division.

a. Why did we mark some attributes as “NAV”? : Here, the utilization of navigation attribute can be done
to save time. You need to change the region info object. In Region info object, the attribute country is
set as navigation and given a unique name like Country [NAV] to distinguish it from the Country info
object already present in the target cube

a-What is an Info Cube?: multi-dimensional cubes are the primary objects that SAP BW uses to store
data for analysis. InfoCubes define a specific domain of analysis in special areas, for example, finance or
sales. Data is organized by dimension and stored physically in a star schema.
