Your Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD) is stored in our computer reservations system.
This EMD receipt is your record of your Electronic Miscellaneous Document and forms part of your contract of carriage.
Your attention is drawn to the "Terms and Conditions Notice" relating to this EMD Receipt set out within this document.
Where this document is issued for transportation, or services other than passenger air transportation, specific terms and conditions may apply.
These terms and conditions may be provided separately or may be obtained from the issuing company or agent.
1. Seat selection:
1.1 is subject to availability at the time of request;
1.2 may be restricted due to operational and safety reasons;
1.3 is non-endorsable and non-transferable between passengers;
1.4 is subject to the Emirates General Conditions of Carriage for passengers and baggage.
2. Emirates reserves the right to amend, limit or revoke this offer at any time prior to purchase and accepts no responsibility for any technical issues resulting in the failure to pay.

4.1 Your purchase guarantees you the choice of the following criteria: regular (window, aisle or middle), preferred (window, aisle or middle; upper or lower deck), twin (upper or
lower deck), or extra legroom.
4.2 We will do our best to provide the seats you reserve. However, we may have to move you to a different seat in case of disruption, aircraft change, or for any other
operational, safety or security reasons. In case of involuntary seat changes, you will be eligible for a refund only in the cases described in section 6. Refunds.
4.3 You must check-in no later than 90 minutes before scheduled departure time.
4.4 Your purchase is valid for the seat type, flight(s) and date(s) shown on the purchase receipt.
4.5 If you purchased an extra legroom seat, you must comply with additional safety requirements as described in section 7. Extra legroom safety terms and conditions.
5. Changes:
5.1 Your purchase is also valid if you voluntarily change the date of your flight(s) or choose different flight(s) on the same sector, and the product is still available.
5.2 Voluntary seat changes on the originally booked flight are allowed free of charge for seats of the same or lower value and by paying the difference for seats of higher value.
6. Refunds:
6.1 Refund applications must be submitted after the flight has occurred within three months after the date of the last flight in your itinerary using our refund form.
6.2 You shall only be entitled to a refund of your purchase in the following limited cases:
6.2.1 The original Emirates flight was changed, cancelled or re-routed by Emirates and
6.2.1.1 the product you originally purchased is not available or
6.2.1.2 you refused the new flight proposed by Emirates.
6.2.2 Death or serious illness (must be proven by an acceptable certificate) of you or a member of your Immediate Family as defined within Emirates General Conditions
of Carriage.
6.2.3 You booked your flight via www.emirates.com/us/english including a flight sector to or from the USA at least 7 days before departure, and you cancel your flight
within 24 hours of booking.
6.2.4 You are re-seated in accordance with one of the following criteria:
6.2.4.1 Regular seat to a different type of regular (defined as window, middle or aisle);
6.2.4.2 Preferred seat to a different type of preferred (defined as window, middle or aisle; upper or lower deck) or to a regular, twin or extra legroom seat;
6.2.4.3 Twin seat to a different type of twin (defined as window or aisle; upper or lower deck) or to a regular, preferred or extra legroom seat;
6.2.4.4 Extra legroom seat re-seated on a regular, preferred or twin seat.
6.3 You are not entitled to any refund of your purchase in any other event, including:
6.3.1 You voluntarily decide not to use the product you have purchased;
6.3.2 You voluntarily change your flight and the product you purchased is not available;
6.3.3 You voluntarily upgrade, or are upgraded by Emirates, to a higher cabin;
6.3.4 You voluntarily change to a seat type of lower value;
6.3.5 You voluntarily cancel your flight;
6.3.6 You do not meet any of the safety or legal requirements;
6.3.7 You are entitled to the purchased product or service as a result of your frequent flier tier, but you failed to add the correct membership number at the time of booking;
6.3.8 You are denied carriage in accordance with the Emirates General Conditions of Carriage for passengers and baggage.
6.4 In the event that you are entitled to a refund, we will refund the full amount including any refundable tax (unless otherwise stated).
7. To qualify for extra legroom seats, you must meet the following safety criteria:
7.1 Be 16 years of age or older.
7.2 Be able to read and understand instructions in English related to emergency evacuation provided in printed or graphic form and be able to understand oral crew
commands.
7.3 Be fully able-bodied and capable to identify, reach and operate the exit doors in the event of an emergency and not have a condition that might cause you harm if you
perform one or more of these functions.
7.4 Be able to speak well enough to adequately impart information orally to other passengers.
7.5 Be able and willing to assist the crew and other passengers in the evacuation of the aircraft.
7.6 Not travelling with infants, children under the age of 16, care giver, persons who require safety assistant for emergency evacuation, or travelling with a guide dog or any
other assistance animal.
