My Reflection/ Insights
Direction: Write your short reflection on how teaching a certain lesson can be better because the
teacher uses appropriate instructional materials.
My greatest accomplishment was learning how to teach particular subjects effectively. If the right
teaching tools are employed, a lesson can be successful. I was filming this episode when Self-learning
modules gave me a tip about how to look for the right instructional material. Materials. I also made an
effort to remember how the instructor utilized her course materials during how beneficial her instruction
was for her students. Considering the guiding principles, it was a little challenging, but as the table was
finished, it became simpler, and there were locations to take into consideration.as references.
As soon as I noticed the topic (still working on this episode) for the following topic knew what to
use, where to find the sources, and how to apply this to my learning before I ever started. Learning
becomes more imaginative and engaging thanks to instructional resources. even better if it’s perfectly
suited. Students are more likely to be interested in learning when the contents are current and relevant.
Both plausible and captivating. If I had unlimited time to conduct demonstration instruction, I would say:
I can make plans for the teaching resources I'll employ that are appropriate; they are, of course,
materials that can increase pupils' ability to think abstractly and to engage in higher-order thinking.

Episode 5: Preparing Instructional Materials
My Learning Activity
Directions: Identify the types of printed materials and audio-visual media needed for various purposes
in the class room.
Instructional Materials Purpose for Use
1. Books, Magazines, • They are used to convey verbal information through print.
Newspaper, Poster, • They provide a good source for teachers to structure their lesson plans and
Charts notes.
• They carry the main responsibility of organizing instruction, and they can be
used as basic instructional guides.
2. Chalkboards/ Board • They can be used to present instructional content as an immediate
Work sketchbook, and they are essentially temporary for delineating ideas.
• When integrated with other media, they can give a full explanation. The
neatness of the chalkboard must be ensured through the use of guidelines,
templates, compasses, and straight-edged rulers.
3. Models, Globes, • Models also represent a tool that helps achieve the course's objectives.
Maps, Realia • Models are representations of real things that are extremely large, like the
earth or the solar system, or real things that are small, whether animate or
inanimate.
4. Audio-media • They can be used to deliver instruction involving verbal information, and
with small compact cassette recorders, audio can be produced by the
teacher.
• It is relevant for learning objectives related to the affective aspect of
learning.
• Audio mediums are equally good for all types of instruction, from the
precision of speech to the mental images formed by music and sound.
5. Video-tapes, Films, • The use of videos in your course can be an effective way to enrich students'
Videodisc learning experiences. Videos can be used to spark discussions, supplement
key concepts, provide real-life examples, demonstrate problem solving, or
bring in the views of outside experts.
• Films can be used to address additional learning styles. Presenting
information in numerous ways can be the key to helping students
understand topics. For example, having students watch the movie
"Separate but Equal" can help them understand the reason behind the court
case Brown v.
6. Television • Students can watch educational and informative programs that supplement
their learning. Additionally, it gives them an entertaining break from time to
time.
• Television is a great way to open your child's mind to a variety of things and
help them learn about topics they may not be exposed to at school.
• Television can teach kids important values and life lessons.
7. Technology-Driven • The use of technology during whole-class instruction can foster student
engagement for auditory and visual learners. Integrating simple
technologies such as PowerPoints, games, internet homework
assignments, or online grading systems can make a difference in students'
growth in the classroom.
My Analysis
Direction: What Difficulties confronted you in the preparation of Instructional Materials?
I remember when I was in second-year college, we had a final demo in our major subject, and we needed
to make our own traditional materials. It is quite challenging for me because that is the first time that I have used
traditional materials, and the challenges that I encountered in making my instruction materials was time-
consuming. It is time-consuming because you need to actively make decisions about what materials to use and
how to use and adapt them. My decisions reflect a multitude of beliefs and experiences, including my perceptions
of what constitutes quality instructional materials. But I realize that spending so much time in preparing an
instructional material helps me make the most of every moment of a lesson. If I don't prepare an instruction
material, I may not know how long particular activities can take. This can lead to extra downtime that could be
more efficiently used to help students learn. As well as Instructional materials are essential since they help the
teacher and learners avoid overemphasizing recitation and rote learning, which can easily dominate a lesson.
Resource materials allow learners to have practical experiences that help them develop skills and concepts in a
variety of ways.
My Reflections/ Insights
Direction: Write your experiences of success in preparing various instructional materials.
Making instructional materials is fun and challenging at the same time. It makes you think of Possible
ways to present the lesson in an effective and creative way through the use of representations or tools that
children can see, touch, smell, and experience. In previous Over the years, I have encountered challenges like
not being satisfied with the results of my ideas on how to design my instructional materials. I was a bit under
pressure at that time because we had some activities that we needed to pass on to my other professor. So, I
brainstormed ideas, and I was able to find a way to make changes and have a desirable result. In this activity as
well, I have learned how to manage my time. Through hard work, I was able to make the instructional materials
