Our journey
Late Shri. Narayan Kelkar migrated from Vanivade village of Konkan area (Maharashtra) to
Bithoor (Uttar Pradesh) in search of job opportunities. He worked as an accountant in his
initial days. Later, in the year 1919, he decided to start his own business in Kannauj. The
ladies of the house also lended a helping hand. It all started with 1 deg in the backyard of
the house. Today, we are amongst the leading manufacturer, wholesaler and supplier of
Attars, Gulkand, essential oils, etc. Shri. Anoop Shantaram Kelkar (F/o Pooja Agasti),
great-grandson of our founder is currently leading the firm with his brothers and uncles
together.

Rose Water
Made by steeping rose petals in water using hydrodistillation
process. From ancient times, rose water is used as flavoring food,
component in cosmetic and medical preparations and for
religious purposes. You can add it in your sweets like rasgulla,
sharbat, rabdi, etc, Use it as toner to rejuvenate your skin.

Gulkand
Made from Rose petal and sugar. Gulkand has natural
cooling effect which is good for indigestion, acidity.

Attars and Perfumes
Attar or Itra are essential oils derived from hydrodistillation of
flowers, spices, etc involving a still (deg) and receiving vessel
(bhapka). The oils are generally distilled into wood base as
sandalwood and then aged. Warm attars like mushk, amber,
kesar are used in winter to increase body temperatures.
Likewise, cool attars like rose, mogra, jasmine are used in
summers to provide cooling effect on the body. Ever wanted
