I am a recent graduate of Bowling Green State University, Spring 2023 with my Bachelor’s Degree in
Science of Education. Getting the opportunity to share my love of working with children in a district
that supports each child’s individual learning needs would be a pleasure. 

During my four years of college, I have gained a wealth of experience both in and out of the
classroom. I was fortunate to be able to student teach for two years, one year in PreK and the other in
kindergarten, being challenged with pursuing two teaching licenses. Highlights from my classroom
experiences included planning phonics-based lessons, multisensory daily instruction, creating
dramatic play centers and meeting the individual needs of my students with data driven assessments
and observations. In addition, I administered bench assessments, Dyslexia Screeners and included the
information from my student’s IEP and ETR to plan differentiated lessons.

I also really enjoyed working with the many parents of my students and communicating on a weekly
basis with them. I strongly believe in building a positive relationship with the student and family. 
Each week, I looked forward to calling a parent to share a positive experience about his or her child.
This open line of communication and sharing good news was key in our working relationship. The
students also knew that I cared very deeply for them and welcomed me daily with a hug or smile.
These are just two of the examples of why I am so passionate about this field and the critical role that
early childhood educators play in shaping a child's future. I find it incredibly rewarding to watch a
child learn and grow, and to know that I played a role in their development.    
 
In closing, being an elementary teacher is a career that I have always known I wanted to pursue.
Making a positive impact in the lives of children and families is priceless. I am confident that my skill
