Office of the Secretary (OSEC)

The Office of the Secretary (OSEC) houses the Secretary of the Department of National Defense (SND), a
cabinet member and the head of the department.

The cabinet is an advice-giving group selected by the president to aid him in making decisions.

1. Advising the President of the Philippines tungkol sa usaping pangdepensa at I develop ang

The SND shall exercise authority, direction and control over all component agencies, offices and units of
the DND. The main duty of the SND is to plan, develop and execute policies that concern the military
affairs and national security of the country. (Syempre para masigurado ang seguridad ng bansa,
tungkulin ng Secretary of National Defense ang magplano, bumuo at magsagawa ng mga patakarang
kinalaman sa usaping militar. Katulad ng pagtalaga ng military personnel sa lugar na mas kalat ang
terorismo.

He shall be responsible for the department’s resource management; fiscal and program evaluation as
well as proposing and enforcing military policies, procedures, and plans, including formulating strategic
force structure plans, basic needs, and resolving inter-service conflict.

Inter-service conflict is conflict between different branches of a country's armed forces.

Advise and assist the Secretary of National Defense (SND) pagdating sa mga
public affairs, public information, veterans administration, retiree issues, civil
defense, and risk reduction management.

Supervising the defense institution that does strategic research and studies.
Magpayo at tumulong sa Secretary of National Defense (SND) sa paglikha at pagpapatupad ng mga
layunin at patakaran ng departamento na nakakaapekto sa mga operasyon ng depensa. Supervising the
Armed Forces of the Philippines( AFP)

Advising and helping the Secretary of National Defense (SND) in the formulation and implementation o
pagpapatupad layunin at patakaran ng Department relating to finance, materials, ammunition (objects
fired from guns like bullets and explosive objects ex bombs used in war.), and installations.

Office of the Undersecretary of National Defense (OUSND)

The Undersecretary of National Defense (OUSND) is the most senior among all the six undersecretaries
of the Defense Department, and as such, he:

Works as the deputy to the Secretary of National Defense (SND). Siya yung may authority kapag wala
yung secretary of National Defense

Kumunsulta sa Secretary of National Defense sa mga isyu sa pamamahala tulad ng pagbuo at


pagpapatupad ng mga patakaran.

Oversees the department’s Proper

Personnel Management and Information Management divisions. Ang OUSND ang nag aassist o nag
mamanage sa division ng mga personnel katulad ng afp at pati narin sa pagmamanage ng information

The Defense Service (DCommS) is:

The Department’s information dissemination and public relations branch.

In-charge of the DND’s public information initiatives and activities.

Responsible for media and public relations.

Para ma maintain ang public image ng departamento

In charge of the Department’s strategic communication.

Offices of the Undersecretary for Strategic Assessment Planning (OUSSAP)

The Offices of the Undersecretary for Strategic Assessment Planning (OUSSAP) take on the job of:

Supervising the defense institution that does strategic research and studies.

Office of the Undersecretary Capability Assessment and Development (CAD)

The job of the Office of the Undersecretary Capability Assessment and Development (CAD) includes:

The job of the Office of the Undersecretary for Civil, Veterans and Reserve Affairs (OUSCVRA) is to:

Advise and assist the Secretary of National Defense (SND) pagdating sa mga public affairs, public
information, veterans administration, retiree issues, civil defense, and risk reduction management.
