1) To understand the different life forms found in different marine environments
2) To learn about the threats to the marine environment
3) To reflect on the roles of youths in protecting the ecosystem
Program Itinerary
Day 1

08.30am : Registration @ Penang National Park Entrance, Light Breakfast


09.00am : Boat to CEMACS
09.30am : Arrive CEMACS & gather for safety briefing
10.00am : Ice breaking
10.30am : Room check-in
10.45am : Talk: Marine Biodiversity & Conservation
11.15am : Activity 1: Marine research labs & Reference Collection Centre visit
12.30pm : Lunch
01.30pm : Activity 2: Marine microplastic abundance evaluation (The students will be split into 2 or 4 groups)
03.30pm : Tea break & rest
04.00pm : Activity 3: Marine biodiversity exploration (The students will be split into 2 or 4 groups)
05.30pm : Recap & Reflect
06.30pm : Break & Refresh
07.30pm : Dinner
08.30pm : Group sharing & discussion about what they learn, Q&A from the students
