D Ring & Buckles Technical Requirements

D Rings

The size of the D-ring must be compatible with the intended use on the garment and the
suitability and position of the D-ring must also be agreed with the Garment Technologist.

The D-ring must have a roller bar attached to cover the ‘break’ in the metal. If there is no
‘break’ in the D-Ring, the metal bar is not necessary. However these components may not
pass through the metal detector and therefore must be discussed and agreed with the
Technologist.

D rings may be sourced from our approved sources. It is the Garment supplier’s
responsibility to ensure the buckle performs to all the criteria specified in this manual.

Buckles

The suitability and position of the buckle must be agreed with the Garment Technologist.

The buckles may be sourced through our approved sources. Therefore it is the Garment
supplier’s responsibility to ensure the buckle performs to all the criteria specified in this
manual.
