Significance of the Study

This study will be beneficial to the following:

1. Environment. This study will benefit globally. Unlike conventional plastics, which are made from
fossil fuels, bioplastics are made from renewable sources. We may lessen our reliance on limited
resources and the environmental harm caused by the extraction and processing of fossil fuels by
using singkamas as a raw material for the creation of bioplastic.

2. Agriculture. This study will help the agriculture. This can aid in the reduction of poverty, the
creation of jobs, and the improvement of robust and long-lasting agricultural systems.

Statement of the Problem

1. What is the level of tensile strength of the Jicama Bioplastic?

2. What is the level of biodegradability of Jicama Bioplastic?
3. What is the level of water absorption of the Jicama Bioplastic?
4. What is the significant difference of a Bioplastic & Commercially produced plastic in terms of:
4.1. Appearance
4.2. Cost Efficiency
4.3. Biodegradability

5. Based on the aforementioned results, what can be recommendations be made?
