1. Teacher asks pupils to write as many animals as the y know. Write them on the board.
2.Teacher asks them what their favourite animal is . Tell them to describe it.
3. Stick the flashcards of the animals on the board.
4. Point to each one , say the word out loud.

2. Teacher shows flash cards to introduce new animals (pictures of animals from Activity
1).
Lesson 3. Teacher sticks the pictures on the whiteboard and ask pupils to tell what they know

4. Point to the picture of the camels. Write ‘hump’ on the board. Have pupils guess what
this word means and other words related to the animals such as ‘heavy’, ‘strong’, ‘big’,
‘fast’ and ‘small’.
5. Read aloud the quiz questions from Activity 1 on page 81 and get a few pupils to guess
the answers by pointing to the correct pictures on the whiteboard. Focus on the adjectives
to describe the animals.
