INTRODUCTION
This document presents the main points from the training session on May 03, 2023
(training day 2), which focused on the STARRECON shared reconciliation platform.
The training aimed to equip the customer service, CSR team members, and
parameterized team who are the regular users of the platform, with the skills needed
to use the platform module efficiently in their daily tasks.
MODULE COVERED
The report module was the main topic of the day two training. We started the
training with a review by two trainees from the CSR team and the Customer Service
team. After the review, we did some hands-on training on the task operations
module.
The report module includes Extraction report, Upload file report, Exception report,
Duplicate report and reconciled report.
After getting a thorough explanation of each step, the trainees did some hands-on
training.
1. Extraction Report
We can generate extraction report by filtering using file date and extracted
date.
* File date is the transaction date
We can generate upload file report by filtering using file date and Activity date.
* File date is the transaction date
* Activity date is the date uploading is performed
3. Exception Report
Transactions that are not used for reconciling but only for reporting are in
exception reports.
4. Duplicate Report
5. Reconciled Report
Challenges
1. A connection problem made it very difficult to continue with the hands-on
training
2. There was also a problem with the database.
3. Login was challenging as it kept locking the user out.
4. Some selected files could not be extracted and the extracted files did not
appear on the upload section for some time.
5. When we attempted to extract a file that was rolled back, it still showed that
the file was already extracted.
Recommendations
1. The practical training is of high priority and the connection problem must
be resolved without delay.
2. Logging in should not be a hassle for users.
