India, US to Work towards new global climate financing target

At the end of ninth India-US Economic and financial Partnership

meeting, India & US have agreed to come up with a new climate
finance assistance deal for developing Countries. “We acknowledge the
developed country goal to jointly mobilize $100 Billion every year till
2025 from public and private sources for developing countries,” said
the Indo-US joint statement.
Insurance companies no claim bonus won’t attract tax: GST

The GST council clarified that no claim bonus offered by insurance

companies will not attract any GST. No new taxes have been
introduced, Finance minister Nirmala sitaraman said after the 48 th GST
council meeting. Issues like setting up appllate tribunals for GST and tax
evasion in tobacco businesses could not be taken up due to lack of
time, she added.
India to add 1.4 crore high-net-worth individuals by 2030: FM
India could add 14 crore middle-income households and 1.4 crore
high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) to the economy by 2030,

Binance 'temporarily pauses' withdrawals of USDC

The world's biggest crypto exchange Binance said on Tuesday it
has "temporarily paused" withdrawals of the major stablecoin
USDC. "On USDC...we've seen an increase in withdrawals,"
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said. He added that swapping
USDC with two other crypto tokens, Paxos Standard and Binance
USD, requires routing through a bank based in New York which is
not yet open.
