Dear Mrs. Hamilton:

On the recommendation of Fanshawe College, I am writing to apply for a position as a cake and
dessert decorator at Chick Boss Cake’s headquarter. I believe my solid baking, decorating
experience, my creativity and my Disney sing-along voice would make me a strong addition to your
team. I have enclosed my resume, which details my qualifications and provides more information on
how I might be an asset to your team.

I recently graduated from vocational school where I joint basic baking & decorating cake and high-
level baking & decorating cake program, I also got a degree for each course. I worked as a birthday
cake decorator at Givral Bakery in my home country. Givral Bakery has established for over 70 years
and recorded to be top 1 out of 11 stores that have the most delicious and attractive birthday cake
in Vietnam.

At first, I was invited by my cousin who worked there, and she knew that I was looking for a job. She
had worked as a baker for 2 years; I started my work as an attendant, after two months I also
learned to take part in cashier work. Later, I sent an offer to my manager that I want to join the
decorating team since I finished my vocational school, I got degree and handed over. After more
than one month of training and showing my creativity, I officially became a member of the team.

In my spare time, I do some artwork like painting while listening to music or surfing on Instagram
and Pinterest for more ideas of decoration. Sometimes I play Disney songs and sing along; my
personal favourite ones are How Far I’ll Go, I’ll Make a Man Out of You and Almost There.

I love this job because it helps me enhance my strength which is creativity. The only reason I quit is
when I oversea for more chance to grow.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your reply.
