Physical features: An arid coastal lowland plain,
parallel to them inland is a small belt of hills and
mountains and behind those large plateaus. Further
inland there are plains flooded by the Zambezi and Cuito
river.., rivers etc

Climatic conditions: Angola has a tropical


climate, tempered by the cool Benguela
current and the high plateaus. Resulting into
a subtropical climate throughout the country.
Other Special Physical features: There are a
total of 7 rivers in Angola and it has 3
different landforms in extent, the coastal
lowlands, highlands and plains.

cultivated and 20% is suitable for irrigation.
Flora and Fauna : In the northern wet region it
has thick forests and in south is has thinner
savanna vegetation. Animals include lion,
impala, hyena, hippopotamus, rhinoceros,
elephants and a large variety of birds and
insects.

About 71.44% of people aged above 15 in Angola can read and write. A total of 5,595,361
adults are illiterate. Literacy for male adult population is 81.98 %. This means that the
country is educated in basic terms but only about 66.83% of the population lives in
urbanised areas and cities. So most of the educated population gathered over in the
urban cities. The other 34.17% population live in tribal areas amidst the jungles.

According to you how does the HDI impact the life of the people living in that country?

The HDI of Angola in 2019 was 0.581, which means that it has medium human
development. The HDI in 2010 was around 0.386. This suggests that the country is
developing and people are seeing job opportunities for them and moving off to the cities
leaving behind the rural lifestyle. This also means that the country is serving as an integral
component of the HDI of Africa as a whole.

Answer
Africa is one of the poorest continent. Many migrants form low profile African countries
migrate towards Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. Due to frequent warfare many people all
over Africa lose their properties and home, so they are forced to take refugee in other
countries. Some Africans also travel abroad, usually to US and south European countries
in search of work. Out of Africa the main migration trend is all due to employment and
people are migrating to places which provide high and more salary giving jobs.
