I am hereby applying for the position of teacher at your basic school. I became familiar
with your school because a family member of mine is a past student of your school, so
seeing an advertisement in the Western Mirror on August ,3 2022 for a teaching position
was particularly interesting to me.

I attended Mount Alvernia Highschool where I acquired eight subjects in Csec and six in
Cape. I also gained a one in both Cape and Csec English. I have used my English
knowledge to do an internship as an assistant teacher at an elementary school. I
excelled in that position and implemented new and engaging activities that the children
enjoyed and learned from. I also have five years experience babysitting infants and
toddlers in my community and have always received excellent reviews for my services. I
am hardworking, dependable and very good with children. These skills will allow me to
excel in the position of teacher at your esteemed school and help further solidify its title
as a top basic school in Jamaica.
