Dear Parent/Guardian,

We wish to congratulate your daughter/ward for her performance in Grade 9. This letter serves to
introduce you to our Step Up Additional Mathematics Programme. We would like to thank you
for your continued support and use this opportunity to encourage your daughter/ward to sit the
subject Additional Mathematics at the end of Grade 11. Please note that in keeping with our
school’s standards we will only be accommodating students in Step Up Additional Mathematics
Classes whose conduct and academic performance are exemplary.

The total tuition cost for the year for the subject is $15,000.00 per year. Note that this is only the
tuition related expenses and does not include the CXC registration costs associated with each
subject which will be communicated in other correspondences.

The schedule is as indicated below:

Thursdays 3-5pm Additional Mathematics

If you would like your daughter to be a part of this programme, please indicate by signing and
returning the lower portion of this letter to the following email address by Friday September 17,
2021: stepupclasses@mountalverniahighedu.com
Additional Mathematics Step Up Classes will begin on September 23, 2021. We are also kindly
asking that tuition fee payments ($15, 000.00) be made by the latest December 13, 2021 at the
bank, using the virtual copy of the voucher provided and return stamped copy to the bursar or
Mr. Haughton by December 16, 2021. You may also email stamped copy confirming payment to
the email address indicated above. As a result of your failure to pay this fee we are unable to pay
the teachers who will be involved in the programme and will not be able to allow your daughter
to continue doing Additional Mathematics Step Up classes in Grade 11.
