Major point to explain enhancement:
- Execution of initial load needs to be completed and data reconciled before the next
period end close can be done.
- In Release 1.0 only complete company codes could be migrated which is difficult to
achieve in only one period.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The historic cumulated values cannot be changed in Revenue Accounting anymore.
Therefore migration can only be executed, when the period of the transfer date has
already been closed in the operational application and in the revenue accounting
legacy system.
Documents created before transfer date will be taken over as cumulated values.
Revenue Accounting shall not create any postings, because the legacy revenue
accounting application has already posted them to FI-GL.
Documents created between transfer date and execution date of initial load shall be
loaded separately by Initial Load and stored for processing. Only when takeover of
cumulated values including reconciliation has been completed, then these documents
shall be processed. They are processed in the same way as new events after
execution of Initial Load.
Until execution of initial Load, no revenue adjustment postings can be created.
Therefore initial load has to be executed before execution of any period close after
transfer date.
Documents created after execution of Initial Load shall be sent by the Integration
Component to Revenue Accounting for processing and posting.
