LITERATURE (Describe and include

pictures taken during the lab class):
A) MOTHERBOARD

The Motherboard is the body of the

computer through which all other
components interface. The Motherboard
includes many components such as
CPU,RAM, internal and external buses
and other hardware components .

B)RAM
Random Access Memory(RAM) is fast-
access memory that is cleared when the
computer is power-down.

C) ROM
ROM stands for Read-Only Memory. It is a
non-volatile memory that is used to
stores important information which is
used to operate the system.

D) SLOTS IN MOTHERBOARD ( DIMM, AGP,

PCIe, SATA, POWER CONNECTOR )
SATA(Serial Advanced Technology
Attachment)

E) PORTS IN MOTHERBOARD (USB, HDMI,

SERIAL PORT, PARALLEL PORT, VGA PORT,
AUDIO PORTS)
USB(Universal Serial Bus) is a standard
type of connection for many different
kinds of devices.

F)CPU

CPU(central processing unit) It is an

integral part of a digital computer system
and carries out instructions and performs
all basic logical.
G) CPU SOCKET

CPU socket holds the CPU.

H) SMPS
SMP( (Symmetric Multi-Processing)

I) HDD/SSD

SSD (solid-state drive) is a solid-

state storage device that uses
integrated circuit assemblies to store
data persistently, typically using flash
memory, and functioning as
secondary storage in the hierarchy of
computer storage

HDD(Hard Disk Drive) is an electro-

mechanical data storage device that uses
magnetic storage to store and retrieve
digital information.

J) OPTICAL DRIVE
A computer system with an optical drive
allows users to use DVDs, Blu-ray discs, or
CDs.
K) CHASSIS
L) Fan (System Fan & CPU Fan)
1) Thermal Paste

2) Tools required for Assembly and

Disassembly
M) Tools required for
Troubleshooting/Diagnosis

N) Tools required for Safety
